Privacy Policy

poddubstudio (the "Service") is operated by the poddubstudio team, India. Reach us at support@poddubstudio.com.

This policy explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under India's DPDP Act 2023 + the EU GDPR (where applicable).

• Account data — your email, name, phone (optional), authenticated through Clerk (Razorpay KYC stays inside Razorpay and is never shared with us beyond a transaction success/fail signal).
• Video uploads — the videos you submit for dubbing, plus derived audio + transcripts + generated dubs, stored in Supabase object storage with 18-hour auto-delete by default.
• Usage telemetry — page views, button clicks (with PostHog), funnel steps, rating-prompt CTA picks. No PII besides your user id.
• Payment metadata — transaction id, amount, status from Razorpay. We never store card numbers, UPI handles, or bank details — Razorpay handles all of that.
• Support conversations — messages you send through the AI chat or Tawk.to live chat, retained 90 days.

• To run your dubbing jobs end-to-end.
• To send job-status emails (job-complete, refund, etc.).
• To process payments + refunds + invoices.
• To prevent abuse (rate limits, fraud detection).
• To improve product quality through aggregate, de-identified telemetry.

• Videos + audio + dubs — auto-deleted from storage 18 hours after delivery (free tier) or 7 days (paid extension). Hard delete; we keep no copies.
• Account data — kept for the lifetime of your account; you can request deletion any time (emaillegal@poddubstudio.com).
• Transactional records (invoices, refund logs) — retained 7 years per India's Income Tax Act and GST law.
• Telemetry — aggregated after 30 days; raw events deleted.
• Support conversations — 90 days, then archived without PII.

• Clerk — authentication (email, OAuth identity tokens)
• Razorpay — payments
• Resend — transactional emails
• Supabase — object storage (video + audio + dub files)
• AI providers we use to process your video — OpenAI, Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), ElevenLabs, Cartesia, HeyGen, Hedra, Sync.so, Dubly, LALAL, AudioShake, Gladia, AssemblyAI, Sarvam. Each receives only the minimum data needed (your audio chunks, never your account email) and processes under their own data-processing agreements.
• PostHog — product analytics (anonymised events).
• Tawk.to — live chat support (only chats you initiate).

• Access — request a copy of your data; we reply within 30 days.
• Erasure — request deletion; we hard-delete within 7 days (except tax-mandated records).
• Correction — fix any wrong data through Account settings or by email.
• Portability — export your dub history as JSON on request.
• Grievance officer — under DPDP Act, Mr. [Founder Name] serves as our Grievance Officer. legal@poddubstudio.com. We respond within 30 days.

• Train AI on your uploads. Period. Your video is never part of any model's training corpus — we explicitly opt out of training with every AI provider we use.
• Sell your data to ad networks, brokers, or anyone.
• Send marketing emails without consent. Job-status emails are transactional and required; marketing requires double opt-in.

poddubstudio is not intended for users below 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, email legal@poddubstudio.com and we'll delete within 7 days.

We update this policy when our data practices change. Major changes are emailed to all registered users at least 30 days before they take effect. This version: Feb 2026.
