Allowed use cases

- Historical voices (50+ years old, public domain) like Tagore, Gandhi
NOT allowed
- Kisi ki awaaz clone karna bina consent ke — defamation + IT Act Section 66E
- Politicians / celebrities ki awaaz cloning for misleading content — election commission rules
- Children ki awaaz cloning — POCSO + child protection laws
- Fraud (CEO voice clone for money transfer scam) — IPC + IT Act
DPDP Act 2023
Voice biometric is 'personal data' under DPDP Act. Voice clone ke liye explicit consent + purpose limitation required. Penalty Rs 250 crore tak ja sakti hai.
